Drum Scoop
grabcad
With this CAD model, it's clear that the standard drum meets all the challenge restrictions on the inside. Flaps are visible, designed to allow dirt to fall while the drum rotates clockwise. However, when put in reverse (counterclockwise), the dirt or material will exit due to the angle of the flaps. As dirt falls at this angle, it causes the flaps to open, allowing other material to leave. A potential addition that could enhance the drum's performance would be ripper teeth or a similar feature to loosen up dirt encountered by the RASSOR. The final weight of the drum is 4.7 kg, made from PBT with each scoop measuring 2.35in in width. This measurement does not exceed the blade length limitation of 180mm. The total dimensions of the drum are 14.17 inches in length and 17.71 inches in diameter, both within the specified limits of 450mm and 360mm respectively. The design allows for the drums to be nearly full, with some exceptions made for space to accommodate falling dirt and opening flaps. With a full capacity volume of 220 cubic inches or approximately 22.90 liters, this drum is designed to efficiently handle material without exceeding size limitations.
