Drum Rack T Clamp
thingiverse
This is based on a drum rack clamp from a Roland electronic drum set. The clamp joins two pieces of 1.5" tubing together and should work with any brand of drum rack that uses standard round tubing. Two drum lug screws, each 1.5" long, and two 12/24 hex nuts are required for this hardware. Drum rack tubing can be purchased from a music store or substituted with 1.25" electrical metal tubing or conduit with equal success. *UPDATE 2/22/2018* I've encountered issues with the clamps failing in use, so I modified the design to make it stronger. A new STL file, Rack T Clamp HD, has been uploaded featuring increased wall thickness and a revised bolt location that moves closer to the end of the clamp to reduce stress when applying pressure. My initial prints were done in PLA with 20% infill, but one print failed. I then reprinted another copy in PETG still at 20% infill, which also failed. In addition to redesigning the model, I'm currently printing a new version of the clamp in PETG with 60% infill, hoping this will be strong enough to meet my needs.
