The plan was to craft a compact and lightweight patrol box/camp kitchen that meets the needs of our pack. Estimated costs are approximately $154. Our current patrol boxes are cumbersome and excessively heavy, making them unsafe for even an adult to carry. This new design should be transportable in most cars and contain all the essential items required for a troop/kitchen to prepare and serve food to Scouts, leaders, and parents. Made from 1/2” plywood, this patrol box weighs around 55lbs, including the stove, pots, washing tubs, gas, and utensils. Measuring approximately 35” long by 14” high and 14” deep, it is designed for ease of use and storage. The legs and light pole are stored and secured on the back of the patrol box, allowing for easy setup in an L-shape or side-by-side configuration.
