I required a straightforward solution for supporting a bass drum sideways during an elementary class activity. Essentially, this design transforms a readily available bass drum into a circular drum configuration. It also serves as an excellent tabletop stand for the Dynasty Wedge Snares, which is a relatively new model. To enhance the free vibration of the bass drum, I will be lining it with felt, despite thinking that the thin legs would provide sufficient suspension. However, there's still some residual rattling even though the drum produces a good sound. The 10mm opening allows for my Mapex Qualifier marching bass drum rims to fit loosely within, while the Wedge Snares sit perfectly in place without needing tape. On the other hand, the opening is too small for the Qualifier quads. Scaling up or down in your print layout software should be all that's needed to create taller or shorter versions of this design, as well as accommodate different rim sizes.
