Drug Delivery Device
grabcad
Lauren Lee is a student at John F. Kennedy Middle School who presents a Drug Delivery Device concept. This tool simplifies self-administration of intramuscular drugs like epinephrine through an easy 4-step process. First, attach the needle to the device. Next, draw up the drug using the vial and secure it in place. Load the spring by pulling bars '2' into designated slots. Finally, press the device against your arm or leg, releasing the spring to inject the medication. The device is reusable with replaceable needles and features nature-inspired patterns on its container. Made from plastic and stainless steel, this design caters to users with nut allergies requiring EpiPens and those needing insulin or other injections.
