"Droplet" Bird House

"Droplet" Bird House

myminifactory

This self-sustaining birdhouse was crafted with no reliance on external support materials. A generous seed pan protrudes 3cm from the birdhouse, encircling it completely at 360°. The feeding pan features strategically placed 2mm drainage holes along its bottom edge to prevent flooding in heavy rain conditions. This project demands printing with PETG for optimal results; however, since PETG was unavailable at this time, a brightly colored PLA will suffice, dispersing excess light and minimizing the risk of overheating and melting on sweltering summer days. Nevertheless, it's still highly recommended to opt for PETG for superior performance. When using PLA, hang the birdhouse in a shaded area with sufficient cover to prevent excessive heat buildup.
