Dropfleet bases
thingiverse
Dropfleet bases, Small, Large and Dreadnought scale. Designed in Fusion 360. About 10 prototypes of each base were made and printed over 2 months, to get them just right. Originals are based of the "real" black plastic bases, with custom add-ons requested by my friend. Each base has dials for damage, height and detection? status. Word doc has the labels for the dials. Dreadnought base: Use an original base perspex pole for the middle, then cut the end supports to suit the ship. I add small strips of foam (From miniature pluck and play cases) to cushion the stands. Each stand will ned to be cut to size for each ship. I suggest you paint colour bands on each pair to help match them.. The tops for each base do NOT need to be glued in place, but this is up to you. do not glue the dials for obvious reasons. I have included some screen caps from Fusion 360, plus some pics of the test fits for the Dreadnought base.
