Drop-stop fix for Moccamaster
thingiverse
My Moccamaster always had a problem with the drop stop, causing coffee to run along the lever and onto the lid of the coffee pot. First cups consistently resulted in spills on the table, while the coffee continued to flow from the lever onto the heater. After two years with my Moccamaster Technivorm Clubline, I decided it was time to take matters into my own hands and fix this issue once and for all. The factory's faulty design of the drop stop is to blame, as it only opens about one millimeter when the pot is on the heater, allowing coffee to run along the lever. My solution adds a 3mm lift to the end of the lever, effectively solving the problem of coffee spills on the table. Printer Settings: * Printer: Geeetech Prusa i3 * Rafts: Not necessary * Supports: Can be omitted * Resolution: 0.1mm for optimal results * Infill: Can be adjusted as needed * Notes: Turn the model upside down for easier printing. If it doesn't fit, try scaling it up by 0.5% and print again.
