The longer version of Chasmaker's stepper gear is robust and stationary on the axis, perfect after 10 months of use with PLA material. It works well with a big gear featured at Thingiverse. The derivative benefits include resistance to melting, better grip on the axis, and long-term durability. Printed with 100% infill, 0.2mm layer height, slow speed, and lowest temperature, it also has a reduced seam. Before slicing, scale the object to 1.025, then gently heat and fit the gear on the axis while preserving the stepper. No backlash is allowed for optimal performance.
