Drop Diamond Criss Cross Earrings
thingiverse
I created an array of criss-cross earrings that demand changing colors between layers to achieve the desired outcome. I decided to experiment with my design and multi-media extruder to create this exciting design. Unfortunately, I'm unsure how well it will turn out if you switch colors between layers, but that is still an option as it's divided into five layers (each of the five colors has one strip per layer). I'll provide a 5-part file for a multi-colored print as well as a file with the entire earring for those who want to try changing colors between key layers. I usually do my small prints like this with 1 perimeter and sometimes increase the perimeter overlap. I also always use 100% infill, but with it being so small, I'm not sure it makes much difference. You can also tinker with it if you want to play around with the layers: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/3cUlm2HPsgT-rainbow-criss-cross-diamond You can learn more about how I created the design using Tinkercad on Instructables: https://www.instructables.com/id/Crisscross-Layered-Earrings/ I also have these available in a variety of color combinations in my Etsy store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/MasterofNoneBoutique
