Drop Box Lid-Half
thingiverse
Print two to make the full lid. This design is specifically intended for use with a 9-Cup Rectangular Food Storage Container from Walmart, available at https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainstays-9-Cup-Rectangular-Food-Storage-Containers-3pk/50003594. It's perfect for creating a substantial quadcopter or hexacopter. I've successfully used it on my Tarot 650 Ironman, and I usually drop lightweight treats like salt water taffy, smarties, or parachute figurines. I've also experimented with heavier candies by using streamers to slow them down. The hooks for the rails on the Tarot can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:528353. The servo mount used in this design is available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1926568 (I used two servos, but it worked fine with just one). The hinges I utilized were a remix of these: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1096475. This creation was made using Tinkercad. You can edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/5bh5qPcphUI.
