Drone Octocopter Z8

Z8 Heavy Lift Octocopter DroneI designed, build and fly this octocopter in 2014.At the time i used 2mm laser cutted aluminium components, 25mm carbon fiber booms and plastic boom clamps. The setup was the following:- DJI A2 Flight Controller- DJI iOSD MK2- 2x 6s 5.000mAh Zippy LiPo batteries (10.000mAh Total)- 8x T-Motor 3515-400 motors- 8x Turnigy 40A Plush ESCs- Xoar 16x5 PJP-N Propellers- 5.8GHz 400mW FPV TX- GoPro Hero 3 Silver as FPV navigation camera- 2 axis gimbal (Basecam SimpleBGC)- Canon T3i with 18-55 stock lensThe total weight with this setup was around 10Kg AUW and MTOW around 12Kg. Total thrust of all 8 motors was around 24Kg and flying time with 10Kg and 10.000mAh 6s LiPo batteries was around 10 minutes (ISA).It was designed and build in São Paulo, SP, Brazil and the flight tests accured in Bela Cruz, CE.The flight tests were very challenging because the Bela Cruz region have some particularities: It is a extremely hot region with temperatures hitting around 35 degrees celsius during the day.Its also a very windy place with 20 KT+ very turbulent winds and its a very dusty region so its important to maintain all components clean like ball bearing, for example, in order to prevent failures. One of the flight tests:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFIk39Bj9uQIn this design for Grabcad i did some modifications and improvements like a 3 axis gimbal with a better anti-vibration system, a plastic dome for better protection to the electronics, a bigger battery mounting plate and a central mounted GPS antenna.I also used several models from Grabcad community like the BlackMagic Cinema camera, the MPU6050, brushless motors, etc (Thanks a lot!). There a lot of modifications and improvements that i'm still doing and will update soon. I'm also preparing the 2D .DWG CAD files and soon will update. If you build and fly one, please, let me know!Any questions and sugestions for the design i will reply in the comments.
