Drone motor adapter for 1/10 RC
thingiverse
A quick fix made to fit a drone motor into a 1/10 scale RC buggy, fits any motor that's over 28mm tall and has a diameter of over 28mm. The adapter can be scaled vertically if the bell housing is too short without affecting part usability. This adaptation uses about 14 grams of plastic, and I strongly recommend over-extruding for this part to improve its strength. To install it; push two bolts outwards through the holes at the end of the bell housing as these will be blocked by the motor later. Bolt the motor to the top plate and slide it into the bell housing, then screw it in place with the 6 holes around the edge of the top plate. Attach your chosen gear to the motor shaft, then bolt the bell housing into the RC vehicle. All the holes are M3 (3mm diameter), I use M3 bolts to secure everything.
