Drone keychain
thingiverse
I recently acquired a DJI Phantom 3 Standard. I am absolutely thrilled with this drone and decided to design something that would showcase my skills as a drone pilot (and 3D designer). I came up with the idea of creating a keychain, which would be a great way to introduce myself to others. I used OpenSCAD to create this design and opted for a print-in-place feature with rotating propellers. It's only logical that a 3D printer should be utilized to produce complex items like these. My printer may not be extremely accurate, so I intentionally left a .5 mm gap between the propellers and the body. Feel free to edit the OpenSCAD file and adjust the airgap to your liking. This parameter can be easily modified, making it a quick process. Please note that you will need to use the 2016 version of OpenScad to ensure compatibility.
