Drone GoPro 3 & 4 Protective Cases - ImpulseRC Alien, Helix etc
thingiverse
These GoPro protective cases are specifically designed for printing with PLA, not TPU. It's almost a certainty that they won't work well in TPU format at all. So if you go down the TPU path, don't complain when one cable tie doesn't work or your footage gets jelloed.\nWe've been running these cases since the Aliens first came out, and so far today we haven't damaged a GoPro. However, I'm sure someone will eventually hit a light post at 100mph and manage to explode a GoPro.\nThere are three main types of Mounts available here. A 30 degree tilted mount and a 35 degree tilted mount that work with almost any Alien Style Quad using one Zip Tie to hold it down. We also have a zero tilt mount designed specifically for the Helix. You'll notice on this one there's an access section for the MicroSD and Charge Cable which you can break away if desired. On the Helix, this is the mount we use, but once you cable tie it down, you won't be able to access the rear to remove the GoPro, so hence the hatch for MicroSD Access and Charging.\nThe fourth part is the main face plate that will house the Lumenier lens and also take the main impact in a crash.\nYou'll need to purchase Lumenier Layer Lenses since this design is based around them.\nFor those of you who are going to ask, I've finally enabled Thingiverse Tipping.\nI hope these files turn out useful for you.
