Drone bag charm
thingiverse
I recently purchased a DJI Phantom 3 Standard and acquired a sturdy backpack to store and transport my drone safely. I wanted a distinctive bag charm that would clearly identify it as a backpack for carrying a drone. To create this unique charm, I designed it using OpenSCAD and printed it in-place with spinning propellers - a perfect showcase of what a 3D printer can do. My printer's accuracy isn't the best, so I added a .5 mm airgap between the propellers and the body. Feel free to modify the OpenSCAD file and decrease the airgap if you prefer. It's a parameter that should take less than a minute to adjust. I encourage you to print this design and share your experience with me. To ensure success, please use the 2016 version of OpenScad for optimal results. Here are my recommended print settings: Printer: Hesine Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .4 nozzle, .1 layers Infill: 20%
