DROK Fish 8840 Housing
thingiverse
This is a custom housing for a DROK Fish 8840 component tester, available on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NXJO4AW. The housing showcases all the ports of the tester and features button covers with clear labels. Instead of a standard 9v battery socket, I've installed a power socket on the right side, allowing users to choose between a 9V battery or a regular 9V power supply. Every aspect of this design is precision-made with tight tolerances in mind. The entire housing was printed using PLA, and while it's possible to print it with ABS, I wouldn't recommend it due to potential issues with warping. Here are the parts used for this project: * Low-voltage plug: Conrad Electronics' Niedervolt-Steckverbinder-Buchse-Einbau-Vertikal (https://www.conrad.com/de/p/072335) * Low-voltage jack: Conrad Electronics' Niedervolt-Steckverbinder-Stecker-Gerade (https://www.conrad.com/de/p/072109) The design files for this project can be found on Fusion 360 at http://a360.co/2gZ29wr. Printing Details: * Printer: Flashforge Dreamer * Rafts: Yes * Supports: Yes * Resolution: 0.2mm * Infill: 15% Notes: I had to lightly sand some areas of the print to ensure a snug fit between parts during assembly.
