Drok 090638 Buck Boost DC Converter Enclosure
thingiverse
I use the Drok 090638 Buck Boost converter with automotive diagnostic tools to ensure the tool always gets 12v even during battery sags or alternator spikes. The enclosure keeps the board safe from damage. The "pins" on the board are a bit tricky to install, but they stay put once installed and allow me to operate the memory and on/off buttons without removing the top cover. The slots in the bottom of the enclosure provide a convenient way to mount it if needed - there is just enough clearance between the floor and the board for a screw head. The ears on the side of the enclosure are designed to secure the input and output leads with zip ties so they don't hang loose. Please note that the enclosure is an interference fit, which means it's about 0.5mm too small in one direction to keep the board in place. This shouldn't be a problem, though - I've printed six of these enclosures and the tolerances are spot on for my boards. As a side note, this is literally the first thing I've ever designed, and it's only the second thing I've ever printed. Take that for what you will! Print Settings: Printer: DaVinci 1.1+ Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% is fine; could go lower How I Designed This: I used Sketchup 2017 to design this enclosure.
