Droidel
thingiverse
The dreidel or sevivon is a four-sided spinning top used by children during Hanukkah. Each side bears a Hebrew letter, forming an acronym for "A great miracle happened there" in reference to the miraculous oil that lasted eight days. The letters are Nun (meaning nothing), Gimel (all), Hey (half), and Shin (put in). The dreidel game is played after lighting the Hanukkah menorah, with players spinning the top and following specific rules depending on which side lands up. This tradition commemorates the Jews secretly studying Torah during times when it was outlawed by Greeks.
