Destroyer droids, commonly referred to as Droidekas, were a highly lethal type of robot employed by the Trade Federation during their assault on Naboo, and later by the Confederacy of Independent Systems in the Clone Wars. These formidable robots were engineered to annihilate their enemies with ruthless efficiency, making them extremely hazardous to encounter. Equipped with advanced mobility features, Droidekas could rapidly transform into a compact ball shape, swiftly rolling across surfaces at speeds of up to 75 kilometers per hour. Alternatively, they could stand upright on three sturdy legs and deploy a robust shield generator while delivering precise firepower against their targets.
