Drivetrain

Robotics Drivetrain A drivetrain designed and built for my school's robotics team between summer and fall of 2014. Designed with rules and field in mind from the 2014 FIRST Robotics Competition(game animation video). Also intended to maximize space for electronics and pneumatic systems available within the frame. I designed and built the entirety of the drivetrain, excluding the machining of four large plates that sandwich wheels and gears. The drivetrain features a two-speed gearbox capable of reaching speeds of 5 or 15 ft/s. In the actual version, cross members were replaced by 80/20 Extrusion as the original design failed. This file is a mesh, lacking precision with respect to round shapes. If you would like the CAD in a much more accurate STEP file format, I have it available on my Dropbox account.
With this file you will be able to print Drivetrain with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Drivetrain.
