I opted for a 4.5-15V, gear 3000-1 e-motor (Conrad 222368 at EUR 38) combined with a controller (Conrad 222347, EUR 20). The chosen drill has a diameter of 16mm and a length of 400mm, costing EUR 15. It can rotate at speeds of 1-2-3-4 or 5 RPM. A 12V power supply from a scanner's bearing (40x16-15) is used to power the setup. For reference, visit tunnelplan.nl.
