Construct your own drive chain using the Parametric Chain.scad script, or choose from the provided examples (test_chain.scad). Four different examples are available: Example 1 features easy assembly/disassembly but isn't very strong; it has a 35° overhang and 0.4mm gap for simple printing. Example 2 is similar to Example 1, but includes a snap-fit hinge for added strength. Example 3 offers superior strength but cannot be disassembled. In Example 4, the first chain link features a snap-fit hinge. Example 5 presents an easy-to-assemble/disassemble chain with a larger size compared to other examples. Four example gears are also provided: Example Gear 1 fits on Examples 1-4 and has nine teeth with an M4 hex nut hole; Example Gear 2, designed for Examples 1-4, features 20 teeth and an M8 hex nut hole; Example Gear 3 is compatible with Examples 1-4 and boasts eight teeth plus a 5mm motor mount (requires a M3 nut and screw for fixing); finally, Example Gear 4 fits on Example 5 and has 15 teeth with an M6 hex nut hole. When printing the drive chain, avoid support structures and use solid infill. For optimal results, print it from ABS using a 0.5mm nozzle and a layer height of 0.27mm.
