Drive Centers or Hubs For Woodturning 8 Point Star on 4 Axes

prusaprinters

I turn objects on a lathe. I have turned several styles of stars. For this style, the starting cube must be held by the corners and rotated about four axes.  To my knowledge there are not any commercial jigs for this purpose.Print at a higher infill to increase longevity. Two thread sizes are provided:¾ x 10 tpi for many live centers;1.0 x 8 tpi for many lathe spindles and some live centers. If a 1/25 x 8 tpi is desired, suggest purchasing a metal adapter that will also provide more room between the workpiece and the headstock. For a video making this star, please see:https://www.aswoodturns.com/2024/03/maple-star-4/
