Drive Belts
thingiverse
So your projector, cassette player, turntable, or any old device that relies on a drive belt has stopped working because its old belt failed. Now it's time to create a new one. ##Things to Consider: * Filament - Flexible filaments like Ninjaflex are perfect for this project. * The number of cross-sectional steps, whether it's 9 or 12, will give you a flat base on the printbed to work with. * Printing a belt that's smaller than needed might be necessary due to varying filament elasticity. Fortunately, you can print multiple versions until you find one that works, thanks to your access to a 3D printer. This is possibly the simplest customiser I've ever designed, but it's definitely useful.
