Drive Bay Adapter V4 (3.5" to 2x2.5")

This dual 2.5" drive bay adapter transforms a standard 3.5" drive bay into two separate mounting locations. The bottom mount supports a 7mm drive, which most solid state drives conform to, and the top mount accommodates up to a 15mm drive, the tallest available in the 2.5" category. This configuration allows for a total storage capacity of 1 terabyte of solid state storage and 3 terabytes of hard disk drive capacity for consumer-level applications. Enterprise-class setups can achieve even higher capacities, reaching 3.84 terabytes of solid state storage and 6 terabytes of hard disk drive capacity. The bottom mount features both side and bottom screw holes to secure the 2.5" drive in place, while the top mount has only side screw holes available for attachment. Every mounting hole from a standard 3.5" bay is utilized on this adapter, including both sides and the bottom. Hexagonal holes are provided for M3 nuts, which are used for securing the adapter to the case. This print was made with just 35 grams of PLA at 100% infill, requiring 8 hours and 40 minutes under my standard printing settings (60mm/sec, slower speeds on adhesion layers and outer walls, 0.1mm layer height). Some post-processing will likely be necessary to eliminate stringing and enlarge screw holes if irregularities are present. When installing the drives, I recommend beginning with the bottom drive and tightening screws in a cross pattern to ensure direct contact between the drive and the bottom risers. Next, install the top drive using the same technique and tighten all screws firmly, as this will prevent undue stress on the hard drives caused by vibrations. This method is also recommended for installing the adapter into your case.
