Drip irrigation systems benefit greatly from a sprinkler support system, which can be purchased in high definition for nearly a dollar apiece. Although not excessively pricey, the cost can add up if you require multiple units. Fortunately, a load of 0.15-inch diameter galvanized wire was lying idle and could be repurposed as posts to secure the sprinklers into the soil. To this end, I cut the wire into ten-inch long pieces for use as support rods. Included are various versions using different post diameters in increments of 25 thousandths, ranging from 0.150 to 0.300 inches. The sprinkler heads themselves still need to be purchased but at a reasonable cost and with good results. I believe my units deliver approximately thirteen gallons per hour.
