I've been working tirelessly to automate watering systems, starting with my greenhouse which boasts approximately 30 thriving plants. Initially, I experimented with Gardena products, but my ultimate goal is to create a self-sustaining garden accessible to anyone worldwide, including those in the third world struggling to survive. To share my progress, I've documented my garden on Appropedia: https://www.appropedia.org/Gravity_fed_drip_irrigation,_semi-automated As spring approaches and my summer gardening season begins, I'll be putting my system to the test. My vision is for it to run seamlessly throughout the summer using rainwater alone, provided Mother Nature cooperates. I invite your input and suggestions on how to improve this project! I particularly hope that school kids will take up the challenge and simplify the design so it's easily understandable by children of all ages. Imagine if this simple solution could save thousands of lives every day by providing a nutritious diet for those in need. This project is my contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and my ultimate aim is to make a tangible difference in people's lives.
