The first version of Drip Emitter is used with pots that have a hole at the bottom, allowing excess water to drain from the pot and channel into a reservoir through a piece of tubing attached to the Bolt. To install, start by placing an empty pot on a flat surface. Insert the Bolt into the hole at the bottom of the pot and secure it in place by screwing the Nut onto the Bolt from inside the pot. Next, connect a long piece of tubing to the outer end of the Bolt and direct it into a large container or reservoir where excess water will collect. The Drip Emitter V1 can also be used to convert any pot with a hole at the bottom into a self-sustaining circulating hydroponics system by connecting the 3Dponics Siphon or Venturi to an air pump and placing the Siphon into the reservoir. Then, connect a piece of tubing that brings water up to the plant.
