Drinking Straw Rocket

Drinking Straw Rocket

thingiverse

This 1 gram missile, inspired by things like http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:26571, can be launched across a room by placing it on the end of a drinking straw and blowing through. However, remember that it's not suitable for young children; adult supervision is recommended, and never aim it at anyone or anything's face. A word of caution from Ralphie - "You'll shoot your eye out!!" To print, use Replicator 2 with MakerWare's "High" resolution settings (15% infill, 2 shells, 80mm/s), but adjust the Layer Height to 0.3mm except for the nose cone. The single shell isn't necessary for anything other than that part. With these specifications, a 60mm tall rocket takes about 17 minutes to print and weighs only 1g.
