Drinking Cups - 8oz, 12oz & 16oz
thingiverse
This innovative drinking cup pattern comes in three versatile renditions: 8oz, 12oz, and 16oz models. People are already hailing this unique cup as "my pineapple pattern." Whether you call it that or not, these cups feature a comfortable grip, perfect for avoiding spills. Print the optional lid, including a Ninjaflex-based gasket, and you'll enjoy peace of mind every time you use them. Choose to use these cups in your kitchen, bathroom, or maker-space - or gift them to others - you'll appreciate having these reliable companions at the ready. Remember to stay hydrated and savor each sip! Important note: Be aware that creations born from FDM printers can't truly be food safe due to tiny recesses between filament threads where germs like to hide. Instructions: Cups were sliced using Simplify3D, printed in ABS at 220°C with three shells and 25% infill. The lid gasket was printed in Ninjaflex on my Flashforge Creator X printer, with two shells and 15% infill, heated bed at 230°C and a blue-taped surface at 50%. I started by printing cup designs with low-quality filament, but layer and wall adhesion were terrible - the cups looked awful and leaked when filled. That's why I recommend using medium to high-quality filament for regular use. Just got my hands on Gizmo Dorks' polypropylene filament, an exotic raw material that promises to be food safe for FDM printers. My goal is to create a polypropylene liner inside the cup for ultimate safety and reliability. Stay tuned!
