Drink Lid for Mason Jar
cults3d
In the late summer, there are a lot of flies where I live. I like to spend time outside in the evenings and at least one fly always manages to get into my drink. I made this lid to fit onto the top of a Mason jar so I can use it as a drinking glass and keep the flies out. I believe it should fit any "regular mouth" Mason jar, the jars I tested it on are Ball brand. NOTE: I've found that, depending on the printer, the STL may need to be scaled a bit to get the best fit. For reference, on my MK3S+, I print the file as-is, but for my Ender 3, I found that applying 1.01 (101%) uniform scaling factor in my slicer helped it fit the jar a little better. Also included is the STL for a ring that matches the diameter of the Mason jar opening. I used the ring as a guide to cut a gasket out of a sheet of food grade silicone (see pictures). The lid fits without a gasket, but it may leak some.
