A personalized drink coaster with the letter "B" printed on it. Do you have someone special in mind whose name starts with that letter? Perhaps Bernadette, Belinda, Bart, Bas, Bastiaan, Brittany, Barbara, Beth, Bailey, Bethany, Brooke, Brenda, Becky, Bobby, or Bruce comes to mind? Use this coaster to showcase your favorite drink and make it a unique conversation starter. This coaster is standard in size (100 by 100 by 5 mm) and fits perfectly into my custom coaster holder: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3130397 I printed the model with a 0.15mm layer height and 18% infill, using a 0.4mm nozzle. The extruder temperature was set to 210 degrees Celsius, while the heated bed was maintained at 60 degrees Celsius. No support material was required for this design. Feel free to experiment with different printing settings if you'd like! The design process began when I stumbled upon a logo in my browser and imported it into Inkscape, where I converted it into an SVG file. Next, I opened the file in Blender and transformed it into a 3D object. In Meshmixer, I repaired the file, removed some imperfections, and merged it with a coaster design that I had created earlier. To further refine the model, I exported it to Netfabb Online Service, an app that offers a wide range of STL repair procedures. With MakePrintable's limited options, Netfabb was the obvious choice for me. The service worked seamlessly, allowing me to slice the model without any issues. If you're interested in learning how to convert 2D images into 3D models like I did, check out this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6cmClwLhz8 (it's under six minutes long!).
