Recent surveys have verified that this wreck is the DRINA. The DRINA was a British passenger liner. On its way from Buenos Aires to Liverpool, it hit a mine two miles west of Skokum Island and sank on March 1, 1917. The mine had been laid by UC 65 under the command of Captain Otto Steinbrinck three weeks earlier. Fifteen people lost their lives.
