Drill trays for 1/2" reduced shank (Silver & Deming) drills, flute sizes 1/2" to 1"
prusaprinters
Trays for imperial reduced-shank (also called Silver & Deming) drills, with flute sizes from just above 1/2" through 1". These nominally have 3" of shank and 3" of flute, but in reality the flutes can be up to about 3.25" and part of the shank is a collar section that is much closer to the size of the flute. You'll notice a bit of extra length for the shanks - this helps with picking up the smaller ones that are close together, making the finger scoop less helpful. These are non-stacking low profile trays. There are 3 .stl files and a .3mf prusaSlicer file for one of them. There is nothing fancy in the slicing - neither mod slabs nor supports. CAD file is here: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/aeefce92416fea3d08adb259/w/e63dc3b924f319d9bdcf825d/e/b8c2a9932d39b690c0b2487c The CAD includes trays for 3 different versions holding different sets in 1/32 and 1/16 increments. These drills are actually made in 1/64 increments, but I've never had cause to use any of the 1/64 sizes. The OnShape file shows a pretty general way to create various groups of tools from a shared set of size parameters, and then make multiple trays that subtract different groups of tools to accommodate your subset of the tools.
