# Drill Press Vise * Mostly Printed * No Supports * Two Tone Color Scheme * Easily Change Grip Inserts * Torque Bolt # BOM 1. Printed Parts 2. 2X 12mm M3 Hex Socket Cap Screws* 3. 2X M3 nuts # Instructions * Capitalized items are printed parts. * The printed parts marked with an [a] should be printed in your accent color. * Print multiples of anything with an x2 or x4 in the name. * The Torque Bolt can printed instead of the Bolt_Extended. * Place the Drive Collar in the vise Body, the holes should align. * Screw the Bolt through the Drive Collar * Place the M3 nuts in the Lower Jaw, trapped, and place it under the Bolt, cupping the ball joint end of the Bolt. * Screw the M3 bolts through the upper jaw into the Lower Jaw. To ensure that your nuts don't turn in the slot, push a flathead screwdriver inside the nut trap in the Lower Jaw when fully tightening. Don't overtighten. * The Lock Bolts are made to be pushed through the slots. They have a square shank that will not turn in the slide rail. You can screw them together with the Lock Nuts, then push them up through the Base and the drill press table and turn them to engage the top locks. # Notes * The Torque Bolt is designed to limit the amount of torque that can be applied via the bolt for tightening the grip. It might be more difficult to print and is annoying but (in theory) will keep the operator from accidentally overtightening and breaking critical parts of the Vise Body. It will "lock" the rotating cuff if the user pulls on the torque bolt head while operating it. Pushing in the head allows enough torque to tighten or loosen the bolt but not to destroy the frame. * The dovetail joint for the Insert is made to slip in and out easily. If you need to retain the Insert, slide a shim in between the Base and the Insert. A piece of paper works for this. * You can use up to 30mm M3 bolts and matching them is optional, 12mm is the minimum length. * update - 12/13/2022 uploaded alt version of Lock Nut. Thingiverse won't let users download the lock_nut part individually. This part is the same as the normal Lock Nut. ### Caution: Be responsible and safe while operating power tools.
