Drill Press Handles

My trusty Drill Press has been put through its paces, tackling an array of fantastic projects over the years. After years of heavy use, some of its handles began to show signs of wear and tear while it was at NYC Resistor. I decided to take matters into my own hands and print out brand new handles for it. For more details on this process, be sure to check out the instructions below. This design features a clever space-saving mechanism that allows for the use of a captive nut. To put this feature to good use, I opted for a 3/8" coupling nut. The extra room in the nut was then filled with shapelock, giving me the flexibility to fine-tune its fit at the drill press. If you're interested in modifying the size of the captive nut, don't worry - the openscad file is included for your convenience.
