Drill press for Makita BHP452

thingiverse

This is a custom drill press for my Makita BHP452, allowing me to drill through objects at a precise 90-degree angle. Drilling holes with tight tolerances requires accuracy, and missing the mark can be frustrating. This build uses a plywood base that I've designed to be versatile - you can adapt it to fit any clamp or base configuration you need. Two lengths of 20x20mm extruded aluminum are used for the frame, which press-fit into the base and top cap. A loop on the front of the model serves as a holder for an elastic strap that secures the drill in place. Alternatively, you can run an elastic strap or spring between the top plate and the drill holder frame to return the base to its lowest position when not in use. I've also included a Rhino file with the separate "drill frame" component, which allows you to easily adapt it to your specific drill's dimensions.
