This mounting ring fits a drill press depth gauge, replacing a lost or broken original component. It attaches to the arbor and holds the guage pointer via bolted connection. Designed in Solidworks, it boasts increased thickness at the break-prone area of the original part. Printed in ABS with 0.5mm layer thickness and high infill for strength, this DIY solution may require sanding for a snug fit on certain drill presses due to potential measurement or printing tolerance issues. Additionally, the threaded end of the depth indicator rod might not protrude sufficiently through the ring for washer and nut installation, necessitating hole recessing adjustment. A parametric OpenSCAD version could enhance customizability.
