I preferred Sungod3k's design initially, but I had to improvise with a vice to keep everything in place while the drill ran, so I created a more robust assembly and incorporated a 608 bearing to ensure the drill bit remained centered within it. For now, I'm holding down the trigger part with a Velcro strap, but I plan to address this limitation soon. Unlike Sungod3k's design, my version is tailored for 1.75mm filament only, as that's the sole size I work with. I've also added multiple feed holes and ensured complete clearance along the flute length, making it possible to run the drill in any direction. I designed multiple holes because I discovered that the initial hole on the drill bit side tends to widen out over time. However, if you have access to Simplify 3D, you can modify the process and add more permits to strengthen this section. This approach works well for most drills, including Makita models – as evident from the picture.
