Drill Dust Collector Remix
thingiverse
I wanted, for a long time, to print chillhaus's dust collector to replace my habit of holding a dustpan against the wall under my drill. I finally got around to it and decided I could make "improvements" even before I bothered to try his design. To that end, I: - changed the side supports to concave because I figured they could one day possibly maybe get in my way, and - added recessed angles to the line guides so short people like me can still see the line when the drill and dust catcher is way above our head (and also because I really like those slits in castles that let you shoot arrows out at different angles ... arrow loops, I believe they are called). I sliced this in Cura, printing at low quality (0.28 mm), using 15% infill, and supports everywhere. I even unnecessarily used the experimental "Use Adaptive Layers" function, hoping it would make a better circle. It may have, but do you believe for a second I'm not going to tear the circle up with a drill bit anyway? Anywho, thanks to chillhaus for the initial design. I'm sure I would have been equally happy with his, but never seem to be able to leave well enough alone!
