drill bit sharpening guide

I made this after watching a YouTube video on sharpening drill bits by hand and I can attest that it helped significantly in accuracy. This thing would work amazingly well on a bench grinder, and its size makes it ideal for that purpose. Not having one at home, however, I used it as shown on a disc sander and had a thrilling few hours sharpening all my old drill bits. I tested them on wood, aluminum, and steel tube, and they worked fantastically! I designed this tool for general-purpose use, and I'm confident that the 11-degree angle is spot on. To get started: -If you're new to drill bit sharpening, take some time to educate yourself so you know what you're doing and how to do it safely. Safety should be your top priority, so don't risk hurting yourself - it's probably hazardous, so proceed at your own peril. -The guide bottom should sit at a 90-degree angle with the face parallel to the grinding surface. -Insert the bit as shown to grind an even cutting edge that is identical on both sides. -I simply freehand the second grind of the relief angle since precision isn't necessary.
