Drill Bit Case - Imperial
thingiverse
This is a drill bit holder I designed for an inexpensive 99 piece imperial drill bit set that I purchased on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/234920754088 It splits the drill bits into two containers. Because there are an odd number of bits in the original package, one container has two more bits than the other container, but both are full sets.I especially like that with this approach, as opposed to buying a pre-cased drill bit set, I get lots of the small easily broken drill bits like 1/8" and smaller, and this case does a good job of keeping them all in order. The Fusion360 model is included, and there is also a GIF of a label, at 300 dpi, that you can print on some adhesive paper.I print everything with a 0.40 mm nozzle in the obvious orientations. The boxes are printed at 0.3mm layer height and the latch at 0.2mm layer height. Super glue the latch (with an optional small screw) to the top of box back as shown in the photo. Some light sanding and cleanup of the prints may be necessary before assembly.
