Drill Bit Bins and storage
thingiverse
I designed a set of drill bit boxes for our shop, a solution to the common problem of storing 20-30 years' worth of bits in disorganized piles. When my printer wasn't being utilized, I set it to create these boxes. The rounded bottoms prevent bits from getting stuck in corners, unlike traditional square boxes. The top is also curved, eliminating the need for supports inside. I printed with three wall layers to ensure proper curve formation. Printing was straightforward; you could likely get away with infill only on the bottom layer if time and filament are concerns. My priority was transporting the boxes safely between the mill and the shop, so I chose to print the bottoms securely.
