A unique blend of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:966836 remixes\nAnother creative mix, with a twist: a screw-on cap that fits perfectly.\n\n Instructions for Your Safety & Success\nI present to you a refined version of my earlier cut-off wheel protector, carefully remixed and enhanced.\nTake a look at this other remix, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1036486 - with the addition of a protective cover for the exposed face of your valuable tool.\nThe concern that weighed heavily on me was the possibility of a lid that wouldn't fit properly; fortunately, two printed sets solved the issue instantly! The lid snaps perfectly into place on both models.\nDesign features an ingenious tapered center hole - slightly narrower at the bottom - so theoretically only three points make contact with the mandrel, significantly reducing friction and making the cutting process smoother.\nTo minimize any initial tightness or snugness issues, try gently forcing the mandrel through the hole to expand it slightly.\nIf your lid feels a bit too loose, don't worry: scale down both components by an equal amount - around 1% should do the trick!\nSafety first: to avoid damage or breakage, it's better to carefully pull the shank end through the hole until the wheel is securely seated, rather than applying force from the other end.\nDuring my tests with the Afinia printer, I used an optimal print resolution of 0.30mm and set a low speed (high quality) while enabling fan cooling - it took around 27 minutes to complete each print cycle and consumed only 10g of ABS plastic materials\nEnjoy working with your Metric or SAE models, featuring easy-to-access printing files!
