I've got a well-built Craftsman portable drill press that's been around for ages. It was originally designed to hold a corded drill, but I wanted to use it with my Dremel tool instead. I figured I could get better results and save myself some hassle by 3D printing an adapter for this reliable drill press. My biggest challenge was getting the Dremel tool perfectly vertical. The part of the drill press that holds the drill has a weird, irregular pattern instead of a flat surface, which is great for accommodating different power drill sizes and shapes. To match up with this quirky design and ensure the drill is straight, I used Fusion 360 to create "shims" as an integral part of the final print. These shims are actually separate parts that can be resized to get a perfect fit. I've included the Fusion 360 model so you can tweak it to your liking and make your own adjustments.
