Dremel printer filament spool and winder kit for 3D45

The Dremel brand printers utilize proprietary size filament spools, but this printable spool allows you to transfer aftermarket filament directly into the Dremel 3D45 printer. It features a central spindle size of 17mm. I have discovered that it may not fit the 3D20 and 3D40 printers, however, a new version is now available with a 20mm center spindle size. You can find more information about this design in my other Thing. This spool is slightly smaller than the Dremel OEM spool due to the 6" printable size limitation of the printer. The hexagonal shape allows for a larger edge-to-edge dimension. This design consists of two parts that use minimal support and can be easily glued or taped together. It can hold up to 0.5 kg of filament, which is the same amount used by Dremel in their OEM spool. I have also created a two-part filament winding spindle designed specifically for this spool as well as the Dremel OEM spool. You can use a drill and pencil on the ends to quickly transfer the filament from one spool to another. 9/5/18 Holes were added to Spool part A to secure the filament at both the start and end. 11/28/18 A similar design was created that is compatible with the Dremel 3D20 and 3D40 printers. You can find this new design in my other Spool creation. 12/2/18 Spool Winder part B was updated for a better fit. 12/5/18 A space for a filament type label was added to the spool. 1/6/19 A round version of the spool with the correct size center hole, suitable for the 3D45 printer, has been added.
