Dremel - Milwaukee Hand Protector Replacement Nut - Built-In Collet Wrench Credit to https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2058773 This is a replacement Hand Protector Nut for Dremel and other rotary tools. It's a work in progress, but my final print worked. Its modification is that it has a built-in collet wrench for Dremel, which adds a square metal piece to the nose nut. This piece acts as a wrench for the collet, making it easy to rotate any 90 degrees to contact the collet. The older collet design only has two flat sides, but I thought incorporating a wrench-style could be possible. So, when I saw this current design, I imported it to Sketchup and added a circle on top with a rectangle that fits perfectly over the collet's flat sides. This design works great - I can now ditch my wrench 95% of the time. To use it, loosen the nut, and it comes free while still rotating beneath the collet. Then, line up the narrower flat sides (marked with a magic marker) onto the collet, and you can loosen or tighten the collet with ease. As designed, this nut slips fully over the collet for removal if needed. This is still a work in progress to get it to show correctly in Cura. Cura added an extra layer of print across the rectangle in one printing but not another, while Sketchup shows the rectangle as open. If it prints with an extra layer, it's easy to slice out with a utility knife. I hope this work in progress can help others with wrench use. Used PLA, 20% infill, no supports, printed with collet-rectangle side on the bed.
