Dremel mill XY table
thingiverse
This XY table is designed for a desktop vertical mill powered by a Dremel. Although the assembly isn't complete, it can be helpful for NickAmes' project. The X and Y stages are identical and can be extended as needed, held together by M3 all-thread rods with nuts on each end. Captured M6 nuts engage with M6 all-thread rods and handles similar to this: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2086. Slides are keyed with 3mm keys (not yet modeled) and fastened by 4-8 M3 SHCS. The XY table attaches to the table or bench via Y-axis endcaps, with T-nuts (also not yet modeled) for captive nuts on the x-stage. It could potentially work as an XY table for existing drill presses. Note that parts may need to be processed in Blender before skeinforging and they haven't been tested or skeinforged yet. To print, create at least two of each part (fit 3 segments and 2 end caps on a single MakerBot build stage) and assemble.
