Dremel holder for AXA quick-change tool post
thingiverse
This holder cradles a Dremel Moto-Tool Model 395 Mod 4 securely. Engineered to accommodate the Dremel without its stamped sheet metal nose piece, it features screw holes for 1/4" or 6mm screws. Designed to sit atop the lathe's compound slide, this holder maintains the tool's centerline at the lathe spindle's centerline. An optional height-adjustment screw hole is provided for added flexibility. The quick-change tool post adheres to AXA size standards. Printed from PLA with a 0.2mm layer height, ten layers of shell, and a 100% honeycomb fill, this holder exhibits impressive stiffness. However, it's not ideal for precision workpieces due to the Dremel's subpar bearings. For tasks requiring greater precision, I would opt for a toolpost grinder instead.
